Comparison · For distributors and importers

DISTRYB vs. Provi

If your buyers already order through Provi and you run an ERP it connects to, Provi is the channel to be on — it has far more buyers than we do, and it adds a channel without replacing anything. If you are a smaller importer or independent distributor without an ERP, and you want to sign up yourself, load your catalog from a spreadsheet and know the price first, DISTRYB is built for that: it is the system you run on, not a channel into one.

Provi

A B2B ordering marketplace. Bars, restaurants and stores order from their distributors’ catalogs in one place, free; distributors connect it to the ERP they already run and take the orders there.

DISTRYB

The system an independent distributor or importer runs on — catalog, warehouses, pricing, wholesale orders, invoicing and collections — with retailers ordering from you directly, and a price you can read before you sign up.

What Provi has that we don’t

Reach we do not have

Provi reports more than 1,400 distributor partners and nearly 50,000 active retailers, and since a 2025 settlement Southern Glazer’s portfolio can be ordered there. DISTRYB has far fewer buyers in every market. If your accounts already order everything through Provi, being where they order matters more than anything on this page.

It fits around the ERP you already run

Provi documents an integration with Encompass that carries customer-specific pricing, inventory and catalogs. DISTRYB has no ERP connector — it asks you to run on it. If you have already invested in an ERP, Provi adds a channel without replacing anything, and we would be asking you to move.

Free to the buyer, with nothing on top

Provi is free for buyers. On DISTRYB a retailer orders free, but an invoice paid through us carries a 0.5% fee (capped at $500), plus 0.8% for ACH (capped at $5), and the buyer pays both. It keeps your invoice whole, and it is still a cost your accounts see that they would not see on Provi.

So which one

You run Encompass and want another ordering channel
Provi. It is built to sit on top of what you run.
Your accounts already order everything on Provi
Provi — be where your buyers already are.
A smaller importer or distributor with no ERP
DISTRYB. Catalog, warehouses, orders and invoicing in one place, from a spreadsheet up.
You want to know the price before a sales call
DISTRYB — $199/mo, published, and you can sign up yourself.

What starting involves

01
Create a distributor account

Your licence is checked against the state registry. Where the registry cannot confirm it, a person reviews it — we do not promise a go-live time we do not control.

02
Bring the catalog over as a file

Upload a CSV, map the columns, and preview every product before anything is written. Items with a known UPC link to the product already in the catalog, and likely matches are flagged for you to review.

03
Load stock, cost and history

Import stock and cost per location, and past sales, so margins are right from the first day.

04
Set prices and invite your accounts

Price by premise type, state and delivery zone. Retailers you invite join free, and you can limit each rep to the accounts assigned to them.

Start as a distributor

From $199/mo. Free until November 17, 2026. No ERP required.
