Tracking your inventory

DISTRYB can only see the sales that happen through it — orders on the platform and your Bottl.Service storefront. If you also ring up sales at a register DISTRYB isn't connected to, those sales are invisible here, and the stock DISTRYB shows for you only ever goes *up* with deliveries until someone counts the shelf.

That is why, as a retailer, you are asked once: how do you track inventory?

Track my inventory in DISTRYB

Choose this if DISTRYB is where your stock lives — you log deliveries here, count here, and either sell only through the platform or record your other sales here too.

  • DISTRYB's stock number is your stock number.
  • Online availability trusts it.
  • The stock watcher checks it every morning and tells you when something doesn't add up — a recount that removed bottles with no reason, an order whose stock moved late, a count that disagrees with the catalog.

I track inventory somewhere else

Choose this if your register or inventory system is the record, and you use DISTRYB for ordering, invoices and online sales.

  • Stock shown in DISTRYB is a reference, not the truth.
  • The watcher leaves your numbers alone — it would otherwise warn you about "unexplained" stock that simply sold at the counter.
  • Deliveries you record here still land in your books and your cost basis.

Changing your answer

Company → How you track inventory. Change it any time; nothing is deleted either way. If you move from "somewhere else" to DISTRYB, do a physical count first so the number you're now trusting starts from the shelf, not from a total that never came down.

Connecting your POS

Coming soon. When a register is connected, its sales flow into DISTRYB as they happen — which counts as tracking in DISTRYB, and closes the blind spot without you doing anything by hand. This guide will carry the setup steps when it's available.
